Renovations

High Amongst the Trees

The Brief

To renovate an existing three rooms of the family home and convert the existing deck into a kitchen and dining space.

The Problem:

The slope of the block meant that the new living area was being constructed high above ground level. Large, long span beams were required to be installed manually.

The Solution:

Planning the construction process was key in delivering the project with minimal delays. Deliveries and trades were organised so that works could proceed as efficiently as possible given the site constraints and working area.

The Result:

The result was a stylish, modern extension to the traditional weatherboard dwelling. Modest from the front, the light filled extension captures the best aspect of all seasons, the custom orb external cladding and hardwood polished flooring enhancing the view through the tree canopies beyond. Tasteful selections in fixtures, finishings and cabinetry by the client delivered a warm and welcoming addition to a family home.
